From an early age, Kenta excelled in drawing and painting. In his senior year in high school a computer class he took ended up taking him to a multimedia conference in Japan, and a summer internship to learn about web design. Shortly after graduating high school he began working as an in-house graphics specialist at a Honolulu tech company. As an independent contractor, Kenta provided services in website, logo, branding, UX/UI, print, packaging design projects. In 2007, he designed the logo for I Can Has Cheezburger? a cat humor website which at its peak received 1.5 million hits per day. Kenta grew up on O‘ahu speaking Japanese and English and speaks a bit of German.
